Who We Are

Forterra Investment Partners is a boutique private equity real estate investor offering tailored transaction structuring, analysis and financial support to sponsors and developers. President and CEO Dan Markee founded the company in 1994 to invest originally in distressed assets with complex restructuring requirements, often by creating creative structures that allowed us to partner with the distressed parties and provide win-win solutions. We have adapted the lessons learned from those early days to create a culture centered on true partnership with our co-sponsors.

What We Do

We provide transaction structuring expertise, co-investment capital, and source debt and equity capital in partnership with sponsors of  new developments, acquisitions, adaptive reuse and recapitalizations of projects by leveraging our vast network and experience in the industry. We invest the private equity of our high-net-worth individual and family office partners in commercial real estate assets to provide exceptional risk-based returns.
